The title song is an instant winner, the immensely addictive techno base in combination with an equally engaging tune that is delivered to a tee by Benny Dayal and Shalmali Kholgade (I don’t understand Marathi but the lyrics seem to have a quirky tone). Kalandar is very recognisably Amit Trivedi, but is enjoyable all the same (that sax in the backdrop is a nice touch). Jasraj Jayant Joshi is fab with his singing. The song also has a part-Hindi alternate version titled Pinjade Wale which is identical to the former in every other way, even has Jasraj on the vocals.
Highway: Ek Selfie Aarpaar. Amit Trivedi’s Marathi debut is engaging. Wish it were longer.
